La Viance Music Festival is a first year, three-day music festival in Central Florida. Held March 5-7, 2010 on the La Viance Estate in Groveland, FL. This camping music festival offers audio and visual experiences that some might not expect for a first year event. La Viance is a multi -urpose festival which is what I like to hear. Celebrating the March graduates from Full Sail University  and also raising money and awareness for the less fortunate, some of the proceeds will go to rockbottomfarms.org and as well a Haiti relief fund.

   Offering 60 hours of non-stop music from 20 bands and 80 DJ’s covering all realms of the music spectrum, this will be a festival you will not want to miss. Four multi-genre stages of light, sound and visual effects provided by Roof-Axis Atmospheric Effects,  DZ Crew, Funktion Forms, K.O.D 3000, VJH.Dot and live art by Obstacle and Bean Spence. Stimulating your senses with sights and sounds the music starts at 5pm on opening Friday and does not stop until festival end. DJ’s perform on genre stages for each evening, spinning Drum and Bass, Dub Step, Trance, Breaks, Psytrance, House, Electro, Minimal and Techno for late-night which we all know means   morning. Local musicians and bands from perform on these wonderful, visually pleasing stages mixing Jam, Reggae, Electronic, Funk and other genres we all love into the mix.

A sweet treat for music connoisseurs La Viance offers homegrown Florida musicians and some gems from other states. I can not explain how excited I am to make the trip next weekend to see what they have cooking up for us. I am also glad to see that many of Central Florida and surrounding areas have local bands playing. Some I know and  have seen perform. Other than all the amazing sights and sounds La Viance is offering workshops in Yoga, Fire Spinning/Dancing and Safety, Didgeridoo, Poetry, REHAB Drum Circle and an open jam session. The proof is in the pudding folks and this event aims to please. Tickets are on sale at the moment presales are 50, at the gate they will be 75. Single day passes are available for 20 prior to the fest and 30 at the gate. VIP passes are going for $150 but well worth the price, offering access to the 2nd floor mansion balcony, comfortable VIP sitting area, preferred viewing of the Live stages, artist meet and greet,  premium bars, private restrooms, showers, Jacuzzi and swimming pool.
